Why Should I See A Chiropractor?
Chiropractic care is a safe and effective method of treatment for many conditions. It is over 100 years old and the second largest primary health care provider in the western world.
I do not have any pain, why should I get my spine assessed?
Great question! If you do not have pain, we want to keep it that way. With chiropractic care, you do not have to wait until you are not feeling well to receive it. A spinal assessment allows us to make sure you are not developing problems that have not resulted in pain yet. Pain normally only shows up after something has already been wrong for a while and we want to intervene before this develops. Just like getting your teeth checked by a dentist, you should get your spine checked by a chiropractor.
I heard that if I see a chiropractor, I have to go forever. Is this true?
No, seeing a chiropractor once does not mean you have to go forever. However, many of our patients choose to continue with wellness care after experiencing the results of chiropractic treatment.
How many visits does it take?
We assess each patient on an individual basis- there is no one care plan that fits everyone. You can rest assured that we will only prescribe as many visits as necessary to get you to wellness! We make sure to monitor your progress with progress exams throughout treatment. We then determine if our recommended course of care is just right or if we need to make slight adjustments.
What is an adjustment?
An adjustment is the foundation of chiropractic care. When you have restrictions in your spine, called subluxations, your body’s natural ability to heal itself is decreased. An adjustment is performed (either by hand or with a tool) to help free the restricted bone, restoring motion and reducing nerve interference.
